In Georgia’s classes, you will be guided by a Level 3 Iyengar Yoga teacher with more than 25 years of experience. Her teaching is precise, thoughtful and caring, shaped by years of working with students of all ages, backgrounds and levels of practice.
Each day follows a natural rhythm. Morning sessions are active and energising, while evenings focus on pranayama and the restorative side of yoga. Her classes build progressively, with each one flowing from the last to create a complete and connected experience.
Georgia teaches with warmth and compassion, creating an atmosphere where you feel both supported and encouraged. Her ability to guide mixed-level groups means everyone is challenged at the right level, often discovering new strength and space. You'll leave her classes feeling renewed, balanced and deeply energised.

What's included:
Accommodation on a twin-sharing basis in comfortable beautifully designed huts open to the surrounding nature
Yoga classes twice daily (No yoga on Thursday afternoons and Sunday mornings)
A yoga-friendly breakfast and two sumptuous vegetarian meals, plus snacks, juices, and teas
Indulge in a free massage/week from one of our visiting therapists
Transport for 1 excursion (half or full day) per week to nearby cultural heritage sites (entrance fees not included)
A Typical day at Ulpotha:
07:00 - 07:30: Tea and fruit
07:30 - 09:00: Yoga
09:00-09:30: Breakfast
09:45-12:30: Massages/Ayurveda/ swimming/relaxing
12:30-13:30: Lunch
14:00-16:00: Massages/Ayurveda/swimming/relaxing
16:00 - 17:00: Tea and snacks
17:00 - 18:30Yoga/Meditation/Sunset walks
19:00 - 20:00: Dinner
Transport to and from Ulpotha and travel insurance is not included.

Georgia Marnham
Yoga TeacherGeorgia is a highly qualified Iyengar Yoga teacher with more than 25 years of practice. She has lived and taught in Australia, England, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Brazil and now Portugal, where she is based. She holds Junior Intermediate Level 3 and has studied with senior Iyengar teachers worldwide, including periods of study in Pune with B. K. S. Iyengar, his daughter Geeta and his son Prashant.
Georgia understands the power of yoga to heal. Her teaching has a strong restorative and remedial focus, always meeting the individual needs of each student. The style is clear, calm and quietly encouraging, with alignment at the heart of every class.
At Ulpotha, mornings are active and precise. You will work safely into postures, learn how alignment supports freedom and finish feeling energised rather than strained. Evenings turn to restoration and tailored support, with time to address any personal concerns. Pranayama is included across the week.
Georgia believes the depth of yoga comes from a steady mind and honest self-observation. She brings warmth and humour to the room, and teaches both beginners and general level students. She is also a mother of three and practised throughout each pregnancy.
